Dopo tre anni inseguendo il circuito mondiale MXGP in tutta Europa e un anno negli Stati Uniti, l’Australiano Dean Ferris tornerà a casa nel 2016 per correre per CDR Yamaha factory a bordo del potente YZ450F.

Il 24 enne Ferris torna a casa in Australia e il team di motocross nel paese dopo aver terminato i campionati del mondo in un 11 ° posto di tutto rispetto in una stagione piena di alti e bassi. Ha annunciato i suoi piani 2016 in Francia durante il fine settimana in cui rappresentava l’Australia al Motocross delle Nazioni.

Ho iniziato la mia carriera professionale su Yamaha, come parte del programma di sviluppo Yamaha Junior nel 2007 e poi ho avuto una grande stagione con la Yamaha Dixon in Europa nel 2013 e quindi mi sento come se fosse un ritorno a casa in più.

“Il team di CDR Yamaha ha dimostrato nel corso degli anni di avere la moto, personale e sapere come vincere gare e campionati e questo è esattamente il tipo di squadra che voglio intorno a me.

“Non appena ho finito con i miei impegni in Europa, sarò di ritorno a casa e andrò al lavoro per portare CDR Yamaha e a me qualche campionato vincente nel 2016,” Ferris finisce.

Per il proprietario del team, Craig Dack, la prospettiva di lavorare con Ferris ha iniettato un sacco di entusiasmo nella sua squadra per la nuova stagione e spera insieme per un rapporto di lavoro lungo e di successo.

“Dean ha tutte le qualità che cerco in un pilota,” Dack commenta. “Ha abilità, unità, il talento e la determinazione di riuscire quasi ad ogni costo e quando abbiamo raggiunto Dean era ovvio che eravamo entrambi sulla stessa linea per i nostri obiettivi di gara.

After three years chasing the World MXGP circuit throughout Europe and a year in the US, Australia’s Dean Ferris will return home in 2016 to race for the powerhouse CDR Yamaha factory outfit on board the potent YZ450F.

24 year old Ferris comes home to Australia and the premier motocross team in country after finishing the world championships in a respectable 11th place in a season filled with highs and lows. He announced his 2016 plans in France over the weekend where he was representing Australia at the Motocross Of Nations.

Contracted to ride the 2016 MX Nationals, the NZ MX Championships and the Australian Supercross Championship, Ferris is looking forward to his return not only to Australia but also the Yamaha brand where he has achieved his best results in the past.

As part of his new arrangement, Ferris will also compete in the New Zealand Motocross Championships at the beginning of the year as the CDR and JCR Yamaha teams continue to work together in developing riders and preparing them for championship success.

“I’m really looking forward to getting back home and racing in Australia again,” Ferris states. “I have done three years in Europe and a season in the US and while I have enjoyed every moment of it, there is nothing like racing in Australia and living back at home in Kyogle.

“Working with the CDR Yamaha team and racing the YZ450F is equally exciting. I first started my professional career on Yamaha as part of the Yamaha Junior development program back in 2007 and then had a great season with Dixon Yamaha in Europe in 2013 so I feel like it’s a return home in more ways than one.

“The CDR Yamaha team have proven over the years to have the bikes, staff and know how to win races and championships and that’s exactly the kind of team I want around me.

“As soon as I’m finished with my commitments in Europe, I will be heading home and getting to work on bringing CDR Yamaha and myself some championship wins in 2016,” Ferris ends.

For team owner, Craig Dack, the prospect of working with Ferris has injected plenty of enthusiasm into his team for the new season and together he hopes for a long and successful working relationship.

“Dean has all the qualities I look for in a rider,” Dack comments. “He has skill, drive, talent and a determination to succeed at almost any cost and when we first reached out to Dean it was obvious we were both on the same page in our racing goals.

“In the past we have had incredible success in working with riders like Dean who have returned from overseas and are mature in the way they approach their racing. I think he will be a perfect fit for both the YZ450F and the CDR Yamaha team and we look forward to what he brings to not only CDR Yamaha but to the domestic racing scene in 2016,” Dack ends.
