24MX Honda Racing accoglie Matiss Karro
Venerdì 6 novembre 2015 — 24MX Honda Racing è felice di annunciare di aver firmato con il Lettone Matiss Karro. Karro, 24, ritornerà a correre nella MXGP dopo un anno di interruzione.
Karro, soprannominato ‘The Arrow’, si è fatto un nome con il suo stile e le sue partenze impressionanti. Nel 2008, quando è diventato il Campione Mondiale FIM nella classe 125, si era affermato come una star nascente. Sebbene abbia portato a casa buoni risultati nella MX2, con anche il titolo MX2 nel Campionato Inglese, Matiss si sente più a suo agio con la cilindrata superiore. Nel 2014 ha fatto segnare il suo miglior GP fino ad ora, con un Tredicesimo posto nel Campionato Mondiale MXGP.
Mentre è riconosciuto come uno dei piloti di punta nelle zone Baltiche, Karro è molto popolare anche in Inghilterra dove ha speso la maggior parte della sua carriera. La combinazione con uno spettacolare approccio in pista, “Go big, or go home”, e la sua divertente personalità fanno di Matiss un ragazzo da seguire! Karro ha preferito correre con le moto rosse ed avendo speso la stagione 2015 sulla potente CRF450R lui ha già familiarità con la Honda.
Matiss Karro: “Devo dire che mi è davvero mancato gareggiare ad alti livelli questa stagione quindi è fantastico ritornare alla MXGP! Le mie sensazioni con la CRF450R sono davvero ottime e non vedo l’ora di iniziare a lavorare con il team 24MX Honda Racing. So che lavorerò con persone di grande esperienza. Le ultime due stagioni mi hanno insegnato tanto, quindi ora la mia sfida è di mostrare cosa posso fare gareggiando contro i migliori piloti al mondo. Non vedo l’ora di cominciare!”
Marc Boone, capo del team 24MX Honda: “E’ difficile non essere entusiasta quando parli con Matiss. Questo è esattamente lo stesso modo in cui lui corre. Lui è un “tutto incluso”! Matiss è talentuoso, lavora duramente e da il meglio tutte le volte che entra in pista. Questo è qualcosa che richiede rispetto. Lui è anche fantastico con i tifosi ed i giornalisti. Dalla nostra parte gli daremo tutto ciò di cui ha bisogno per raggiungere i suoi obiettivi.”

24MX Honda Racing welcome Matiss Karro
Friday, November 6, 2015 — 24MX Honda Racing is pleased to announce the signing of Latvia’s Matiss Karro. Karro, 24, will return to MXGP racing after a one-year hiatus.
Karro, nicknamed ‘The Arrow’, made a name for himself with his hard-charging style and impressive starts. In 2008 he established himself as a future star when he became the FIM 125cc Junior motocross world champion. Although he recorded several strong results in MX2, including one British MX2 title, Matiss feels even more at home on the bigger bike. In 2014 he scored his best GP result so far finishing 13th in the MXGP World championship.
While he’s recognised as one of the leading men in motocross in the Baltics, Karro is at least as popular in the UK where he spent most of his professional career. The combination of a spectacular ‘Go big, or go home’ approach on the track and his fun-loving personality off the bike make Matiss definitely one to follow!
As a youngster Karro preferred racing red bikes and having spend the 2015 season on the potent CRF450R he’s already very familiar with Honda machinery.
Matiss Karro: “I have to say I really missed racing at the highest level this season so it’s great to be returning to MXGP! My feeling with the CRF450R is great and I really look forward to start working with the 24MX Honda Racing team. I know I will be working with very experienced people. The last two seasons taught me lot, so now my challenge is to build on that and show what I can do against the best riders in the world. I can’t wait to get going!”
