KTM Motorsports e la Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team sono lieti di annunciare che il pilota olandese Glenn Coldenhoff si unisce al team a partire dalla stagione 2016. Coldenhoff sarà parte della squadra MXGP e correrà con la KTM 450 SX-F moto ufficiale.

KTM Motorsport Director Pit Beirer: “Siamo molto fiduciosi che Glenn sarà una preziosa aggiunta al nostro MXGP lineup. E ‘un pilota di talento e potenziale, qualità che abbiamo sempre guardato in caso di assunzione per il nostro team di motocross di alto livello. Crediamo che Glenn darà un forte contributo e non vediamo l’ora di correre con lui per un sacco di podi. ”

Coldenhoff ha iniziato a correre in tenera età ed è stato il campione nazionale olandese nella categoria 85cc nel 2004, quando aveva appena 13 anni. Ha poi lavorato la sua strada attraverso EMX e ADAC Junior Cup prima di passare alla MX2 nel 2011.

Nel 2013 Coldenhoff ha gareggiato nella classe MX2 su una KTM, finendo lodevolmente quinto assoluto, e nel processo, prese 472 punti per il campionato. Nella stessa stagione ha anche preso la vittoria MX2 sul circuito di Matterley Basin della Gran Bretagna. In tempi più recenti si è anche dimostrato di carattere nel saper mettere le lesioni alle spalle, ed egli elenca forza mentale come una delle sue migliori qualità. Sarà il 25 febbraio 2016.

Nel 2015 il pilota olandese ha anche celebrato la sua prima vittoria sul circuito MXGP Kegums in Lettonia dopo aver raccolto la prima vittoria, e finendo secondo in gara due. Red Bull KTM Racing accoglie Coldenhoff alla squadra, dove correrà al fianco di campione del mondo Antonio Cairoli la prossima stagione di KTM.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager Claudio de Carli da il benvenuto per l’arrivo di Coldenhoff alla sua formazione, dicendo: “Parlando con Glenn sentivo che aveva la volontà e l’entusiasmo di far parte del nostro gruppo e sono sicuro che questo è un fatto positivo iniziare a costruire una buona stagione. Glenn è giovane, con un anno di esperienza in MXGP, e ha già dimostrato le sue qualità. Cercheremo di fare in modo che trovi condizioni giuste per dare il suo meglio, ma senza alcuna pressione. Il nostro obiettivo nel definire la squadra 2016 era di avere un giovane pilota di talento con un sacco di ambizione e il desiderio di crescere, insieme al nostro grande campione Antonio Cairoli. Credo che Glenn è la scelta giusta. ”

KTM Motorsports and the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team are pleased to announce that Dutch rider Glenn Coldenhoff joins the team as of the 2016 season. Coldenhoff will be part of the MXGP squad and will ride the KTM 450 SX-F factory bike.

He is a rider of talent and potential, qualities we always watch out for when recruiting for our senior motocross team. We believe Glenn will make a strong contribution and we look forward to him racing for plenty of podiums.”

Coldenhoff began racing at an early age and was the Dutch National Champion in the 85cc category in 2004 when he was just 13 years old. He then worked his way through EMX and the ADAC Junior Cup ranks before moving up to MX2 in 2011.

In 2013 Coldenhoff competed in the MX2 class on a KTM, finishing a very creditable fifth overall, and in the process, picked up 472 championship points. In the same season he also took the MX2 win at Britain’s Matterley Basin circuit. In more recent times he has also shown character in being able to put injury setbacks behind him, and he lists mental strength as one of his best qualities. He will be 25 in February 2016.

In 2015 the Dutch rider also celebrated his first MXGP win at the Kegums circuit in Latvia after picking up the first race win, and finishing second in race two. Red Bull KTM Factory Racing welcomes Coldenhoff to the team, where he will race alongside KTM’s multi world champion Antonio Cairoli next season.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing MXGP Team Manager Claudio de Carliwelcomed the arrival of Coldenhoff to his lineup, saying: “Talking with Glenn I felt he had the will, and the enthusiasm to be part of our group and I’m sure this is a positive start to building a good season. Glenn is young, with one year’s experience in MXGP, and he has already shown his qualities. We will try to make sure he is in the right condition to give his best, but without any pressure. Our goal in defining the 2016 team was to have a talented young rider with a lot of ambition and a desire to grow, alongside our great champion Antonio Cairoli. I believe that Glenn is the right choice.”
