GAJSER FORCED TO WITHDRAW FROM THE MXGP OF GB
Tim Gajser non si schiererà nelle gare MX2 questo pomeriggio presso il GP della Gran Bretagna dopo essere stato escluso per motivi di salute dopo un incidente nel warm-up.
Gajser si avvicinò ad un breve salto doppio alla fine del primo settore durante la sessione di questa mattina, cadendo ha subito un impatto alla testa. Il suo casco ha fatto il suo lavoro, ma su ulteriore valutazione medica dalla FIM ha ritenuto inadatto per correre a causa di una commozione cerebrale.
Si tratta di una pillola amara per Gajser e il team Honda Gariboldi Racing il giovane sloveno ha conquistato il suo primo podio MX2 in questa sede lo scorso anno e stava cercando di ripetere la prestazione in questo weekend.

“Naturalmente questo è molto deludente per Tim e per la squadra, credavamo d’avere i pezzi per una forte prestazione oggi, ma la cosa principale è che Tim sia ok. Non è quello che si vuole che il nostro pilota non può competere, ma naturalmente noi rispettiamo la decisione della FIM e il delegato medico. Tim è fisicamente ok e si diresse senza aiuto per l’auto medica, ma ci rendiamo conto che dopo aver avuto un impatto alla testa non è in grado di correre questo pomeriggio. Vorrei ringraziare il personale medico per la loro rapida attenzione, ora dobbiamo solo concentrarci sul recupero e la prossima gara “.

Tim Gajser will not compete in this afternoon’s two MX2 races at the MXGP of Great Britain after being ruled out on medical grounds after a crash in warm-up.
Gajser came up short on a double jump at the end of the first sector during this morning’s session and received an impact to the head from his bike. His helmet did its job and he walked away from the crash but upon further medical assessment by the FIM, he was deemed unfit to race as a result of a concussion.
It’s a bitter pill for Gajser and the Honda Gariboldi Racing team as the young Slovenian scored his first MX2 podium at this venue last year and was looking to repeat the performance this weekend.

“Of course this is very disappointing for Tim and for the team as we believed we had the pieces for a strong performance today, but the main thing is that Tim is ok. It’s not what you want to hear that your rider cannot compete, but of course we respect the decision of the FIM and the medical delegate. Tim physically is ok and walked unaided to the medical car, but we understand that having had an impact to the head he is unable to race this afternoon. I’d like to thank the medical staff for their swift attention, and now we must just focus on recovery and the next race.”
