Come sapete nel Supercross riprende la Costa Lites Ovest e Jessy Nelson si trova secondo in Campionato, con una delle sue migliori stagioni di sempre, purtroppo non ci sarà ad Houston!

Lucas Oil / Troy Lee Designs KTM Jessy Nelson è ancora tecnicamente in lizza per il 250SX West Supercross Championship. Ma le sue possibilità sono nulle, ora, perché un incidente in prova durante i test a Glen Helen hanno dato fine alla sua stagione supercross. Egli tornerà per l’apertura del Pro Motocross Lucas Oil a Hangtown il mese prossimo.

Questo da un comunicato stampa di squadra oggi: “Nulla si  fratturato nella caduta, ma Nelson ancora sente gli effetti dolenti e ha deciso, con il sostegno del Troy Lee Designs Team, che sarebbe nel suo interesse prendere il tempo per guarire al 100 per cento. ”

“E ‘sicuramente difficile fare questa scelta, soprattutto quando si è secondi in campionato”, ha detto Jessy della sua decisione. “Ho buone persone intorno a me e tutti noi sappiamo che la mossa intelligente è quello di prendere il tempo che mi serve e tornare quando sono completamente pronto. Sto già pensando ad Hangtown.”

Pausa dura per Jessy, che stava avendo una stagione incredibile.

Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs KTM rider Jessy Nelson is still technically in contention for the 250SX West Region Monster Energy Supercross Championship. But his chances are dashed, now, because a huge practice crash suffered while outdoor testing at Glen Helen has ended his supercross season. He’ll return for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross opener at Hangtown next month.

This from a team press release today: “Nothing was broken in the crash, but Nelson is still feeling the effects and decided, with the support of the Troy Lee Designs team, that it would be in his best interest to take the extra time to heal 100 percent.”

“It’s definitely tough to make that call, especially when you are sitting second in points,” Jessy said of his decision. “I have good people around me and we all think the smart move is to take the time I need and line back up when I’m completely ready. I’m already looking forward to Hangtown.”

Tough break for Jessy, who was having a breakout season.
