Savatgy and Tonus Aim to Continue Momentum in Atlanta

Continuing Momentum

“I’m really excited to be on the podium,” said Savatgy after last weekend’s race. “I knew it could get the most out of my Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki KX250F. After the heat race I was a little more confident and when I got a good start in the main event, I just kept pushing to get on the podium.”
Joey Savatagy rode with intensity and precision all night in Dallas and proved his ability to ride past his competition. Savatagy intends to leverage his confidence for another podium finish as he heads to the first Atlanta race this upcoming Saturday.
Spingendo in avanti
“Nel main event, non ho avuto un buon inizio, ma quando la bandiera rossa è uscita, mi ha dato un vantaggio”, ha dichiarato Arnaud Tonus dopo il Main di Dallas. “Sono stato in grado di caricare duramente l’ultima parte della gara e guadagnare alcune posizioni. Tutti gli occhi saranno su Tonus alla sua seconda gara di questo Sabato nel Georgia Dome, lui va per la sua prima vittoria sul tappeto erboso americano.
“In the main event, I didn’t get a good start, but when the red flag came out, it gave me an advantage,” said Arnaud Tonus after the Dallas main. “I was able to charge hard the last half of the race and make up some positions. With my first race over, I’m feeling more comfortable and I’m ready to get back to racing in Atlanta.”
Tonus lived up to expectations at his first ever Monster Energy Supercross event. He turned heads qualifying when he clocked the second fastest time in practice. In his heat race and the main event he was able to overcome very challenging starts to push up towards the front. All eyes will be on Tonus at his second race this Saturday in the Georgia Dome, as he goes for his first win on American turf.
