JEREZ HOSTS AN EVENING TO BE REMEMBERED
Appena nominata Capitale mondiale del Motociclismo 2015 la città spagnola di Jerez de la Frontera ha ospitato una serata da ricordare con più di cinquecento ospiti illustri apprezzano la quinta edizione della Cerimonia FIM Gala. Oltre trenta Campioni del Mondo FIM 2014 sono stati riuniti da leggende delle varie discipline, una vasta gamma di parti interessate del settore moto principali oltre a numerosi rappresentanti dei media per celebrare i risultati di molti eroi a due ruote e il lavoro fatto da altri coinvolti in questo sport.
Il nuovo abbinamento britannico Gavin Emmett e Lisa Leyland hanno condotto la cerimonia perfettamente di fronte a una platea gremita all’interno dello storico Teatro Villamarta, che hanno accolto tutta una serie di campioni, leggende e altri vincitori sul palco per ritirare i rispettivi premi. La grande folla era intrattenuta sia come relatori che hanno condiviso le loro conoscenze specialistiche e la passione per lo sport motociclistico, cogliendo l’occasione per parlare con alcuni degli incoronati neo Campioni del Mondo FIM, di età compresa tra 11-44 anni di età.
Riconosciuto e premiato come FIM Legends stessi; Jorge Martinez, Sammy Miller, Sue Pesce, Gerd Riss, Thierry Magnaldi e Kvetoslav Masita presero in carico di presentare i premi ai campioni in carica, tra cui Marc e Alex Marquez, Esteve Rabat, Sylvain Guintoli, Ryan Villopoto, Antonio Cairoli, Jordi Tixer, Christophe Nambotin, Pierre Alexandre Renet, Matthew Phillips, Greg Hancok, Daniil Ivanov oltre a molti altri dei migliori piloti del mondo. I vincitori femminili inoltre hanno lasciato il segno nella serata con Chiara Fontanesi, Laia Sanz e Emma Bristow tutto riceve grandi applausi come si fece avanti per ricevere i loro rispettivi premi.
Oltre a riconoscere i risultati di tanti Campioni del Mondo FIM, la FIM ha anche presentato due ulteriori premi importanti per riconoscere altri lavori fatti all’interno dello sport e dell’industria. Il 2014 FIM Environment Award ha visto vincitori ex aequo in forma di Circuito delle Americhe e Yamaha Motor Racing, mentre il premio FIM per la sicurezza stradale di quest’anno è stato vinto da La Federazione Motociclistica Olandese (Koninklijke Nederlandse Vereniging Motorrijders – KMNV)
Recentemente rieletto Presidente della FIM Vito Ippolito ha dichiarato: “Ancora una volta è stata una serata veramente sorprendente e sono certo sarà ricordato anche da tutti coloro che hanno partecipato. E ‘stato anche il modo migliore per la città di Jerez de la Frontera per marcare la loro nomina a Capitale mondiale del motociclismo 2015. E’ sempre un’occasione molto speciale quando riuniamo tutti i nostri Campioni del Mondo FIM, le nostre FIM Leggende e tanta gente dal nostro sport e industria per celebrare insieme ciò che è stato raggiunto durante l’anno. Ancora una volta desidero esprimere il mio sincero ringraziamento ai piloti, squadre e tutti gli altri che sono coinvolti nella nostra famiglia motociclismo per rendere questa edizione del FIM Gala un vero successo e per mantenere il vero spirito del motociclismo vivo. ”
Freshly appointed as the World Capital of Motorcycling 2015 the Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera hosted an evening to be remembered as more than five hundred distinguished guests enjoyed the fifth edition of the FIM Gala Ceremony. Over thirty 2014 FIM World Champions were joined by legends of the various disciplines, an array of key motorcycle industry stakeholders plus numerous media representatives to celebrate the achievements of many two-wheel heroes and the work done by others involved in the sport.
The new British pairing of Gavin Emmett and Lisa Leyland conducted the ceremony perfectly in front of a packed audience inside the historic Teatro Villamarta, as they welcomed a whole host of champions, legends and other prize-winners to the stage to collect their respective awards. The large crowd was entertained throughout as both presenters shared their specialist knowledge and passion for motorcycle sport whilst taking the opportunity to speak to some of the newly crowned FIM World Champions who ranged in age from eleven to forty-four-years-old.
Recognised and rewarded as FIM Legends themselves; Jorge Martinez, Sammy Miller, Sue Fish, Gerd Riss, Thierry Magnaldi and Kvetoslav Masita took charge of presenting the prizes to the current champions including Marc and Alex Marquez, Esteve Rabat, Sylvain Guintoli , Ryan Villopoto, Antonio Cairoli, Jordi Tixer, Christophe Nambotin, Pierre Alexandre Renet, Matthew Phillips, Greg Hancok, Daniil Ivanov plus many more of the World’s best riders. The female winners also made their mark on the evening with Chiara Fontanesi, Laia Sanz and Emma Bristow all receiving great applause as they stepped forward to receive their respective prizes.
In addition to acknowledging the achievements of the many FIM World Champions, the FIM also presented two additional and important prizes to recognise other work done within the sport and industry. The 2014 FIM Environment Award saw joint winners in the form of Circuit of The Americas and Yamaha Motor Racing, whilst the FIM Road Safety Award this year was won by The Dutch Motorcycle Federation (Koninklijke Nederlandse Motorrijders Vereniging – KMNV)
Recently re-elected FIM President Vito Ippolito said: “Once again it has been a truly amazing evening and one that I am sure will be remembered well by all those who attended. It was also the perfect way for the city of Jerez de la Frontera to mark their appointment as the World Capital of Motorcycling 2015. It is always a very special occasion when we gather together all our FIM World Champions, our FIM Legends and so many people from our sport and industry to celebrate collectively what has been achieved in the year.
