Il Team Wilvo Forkrent KTM continua la sua progressione all’interno del paddock MXGP ed è lieto di annunciare la firma di francese membro del team francese vincitore dell’ MX of Nations 2014, Steven Frossard per il 2015.
Dopo aver terminato 5 ° nel Campionato del Mondo 2014, Frossard ha completato la sua stagione in grande stile con due grandi prove all’MXoN per aiutare la sua squadra francese a vincere il titolo.. Ora # 183 è pronto a lanciare il suo assalto al campionato MXGP sulla moto arancione dopo aver accettato i termini con la squadra britannica.
Commentando la sua firma, Frossard ha detto: “Sono abbastanza soddisfatto della mia stagione 2014. Il mio obiettivo era quello di partecipare il maggior numero di gare possibile e segnare alcuni risultati importanti. Ho fatto Vincere il Nazioni ed è stata una bella sensazione Solo poche persone hanno scommesso su di me per il prossimo anno e Steve Turner è uno di loro, darò del mio meglio per dimostrare che con una squadra unita siamo in grado di passare in secondo piano i team ufficiali.”
Frossard sarà partner del 24enne pilota britannico Jake Nicholls in un attacco a due punte per il team KTM. Nicholls, che ha avuto un anno rovinato dagli infortuni nella sua stagione da rookie in MXGP , è ora di nuovo in sella e determinato a fare bene nel 2015.
“Sono molto contento di essere a bordo di nuovo con Steve e il Team Wilvo Forkrent KTM per il 2015 “, ha detto Nicholls. ”Mi è dispiaciuto quest’anno aver saltato mezza stagione dopo essermi infortunato in luglio. Stavo bene con tutti e stavamo facendo progressi reali, quindi è bello avere un’altra stagione per continuare da dove avevamo lasciato. Il team sta già lavorando duramente per il prossimo anno e siamo ok prima del previsto con la moto, che è una posizione ideale per cominciare.”
A stare anche con la squadra anche la giovane star inglese Adam Sterryche ha recentemente ha messo nero su bianco dopo aver accettato due anni di contratto. Il ragazzo sempre ha impressionato per tutto finendo la stagione 2014 nel Campionato britannico MX2 al 2° posto e prendendo tre podi nel Campionato EMX250 finendo 3 ° assoluto. Sterry parteciperaà a gli stessi due campionati nel 2015 prima di salire fino a MX2 GP nel 2016.
Commentando il suo rinnovamento, Sterry ha detto: “Ho avuto una grande stagione e ha fatto un sacco di progressi quest’anno. Sono davvero felice di stare con Steve e la squadra. Ho già provato la moto del prossimo anno ed è impressionante. Ho un altro paio di settimane di riposo e poi sarò di nuovo in preparazione per la prossima stagione “.
Team Manager, Steve Turner ha detto: “Abbiamo una line-up di qualità per la prossima stagione e c’è un ronzio circa il squadra in previsione di quello che potrebbe essere. Avere un pilota del calibro di Steven è un grande passo per noi. Si mette più pressione su di noi come squadra per eseguire ad un livello ancora più alto e noi siamo sicuramente pronti per la sfida. Jake non vede l’ora di passare del tempo con il suo nuovo compagno di squadra, che invece di vedere come una minaccia, vede come qualcuno che può imparare come crescere nella classe MXGPa. Con Adam a completare la line-up, sento che abbiamo una grande mix di gioventù ed esperienza all’interno del team e io sono ovviamente abbastanza entusiasta del prossimo anno ”

As Wilvo Forkrent KTM continues its progression within the MXGP paddock, the World Championship team is delighted to announce the signing of French MX of Nations winning team member, Steven Frossard for 2015.
After finishing 5th in the 2014 World Championship, Frossard rounded off his season in style with two great rides at the MXoN to help his French team take the title. Now #183 will launch his assault on the MXGP Championship on orange machinery after agreeing terms with the British outfit.
Commenting on his appointment, Frossard said: “I am pretty happy with my 2014 season. My goal was to take part in the most GPs possible and score some strong results; which I did. Winning the Nations on top was a great feeling. Only a few people have bet on me for next year and Steve Turner is one of them. I will give it my best and prove that with a unified team we can overshadow the factory teams.”
Frossard will partner 24 year-old British rider Jake Nicholls in a two-pronged attack for the KTM-backed team. Nicholls, who had an injury-blighted year in his rookie season in MXGP, is now back on his bike and determined to make amends in 2015.
“I’m really pleased to be onboard again with Steve and the Wilvo Forkrent KTM team for 2015,” said Nicholls. “I felt so cut short this year after getting injured in July and missing the rest of the season. I had gelled well with everybody and we were making real progress, so it’s great to have another season ahead to carry on from where we left off. The team is already working hard for next year and we are well ahead of schedule with the bike which is a great position to be in.”
Also staying with the team is young British star Adam Sterry who has recently put pen to paper after agreeing a two-year deal. The youngster consistently impressed throughout the 2014 season finishing 3rd in the MX2 British Championship and taking three European MX250 podiums on his way to finishing 3rd overall. Sterry will contest the same two Championships in 2015 before stepping up to MX2 GPs in 2016.
Commenting on his renewal, Sterry said: “I had a great season and made a lot of progress this year. I am really happy to stay with Steve and the team. I’ve already tested next year’s spec bike and it’s awesome. I’ve got another couple of weeks off and then I will be hard at it again in preparation for next season.”
Team Manager, Steve Turner said: “We have a quality line-up for next season and there is a buzz about the team in anticipation of what might be. Having a rider of the caliber of Steven is a big step for us. It puts more pressure on us as a team to perform at an even higher level and we’re certainly up for the challenge. Jake is looking forward to spending time with his new teammate, who instead of seeing as a threat, sees as someone he can learn from as he continues his development in the MXGP ranks. With Adam completing the line-up, I feel we have a great mix of youth and experience within the team and I am obviously pretty excited about the forthcoming year.”
