JGR Signs Barcia, Peick
Noi ve lo avevamo detto già ad aprile e qualcuno aveva dubitato, infatti ora arriva la conferma che Justin Barcia passa in blu e lo fa con un Team di tutto rispetto, il suo compagno sarà Weston Peik, vedremo come si comporteranno, le prime apparizioni le potremmo avere già per la Monster CUP e anche nei vari SX Europei in Italia e Francia!

Cypress, CA – Yamaha Motor Corporation, Stati Uniti d’America è lieta di annunciare l’estensione della relazione con Joe Gibbs Racing (JGRMX) attraverso un nuovo contratto che vedrà il successo di gara della squadra con le YZ450Fs sia nel Supercross AMA e la serie National per almeno i prossimi due anni . In cima a quello, Yamaha è orgogliosa di dare il benvenuto a due nuovi piloti nella famiglia Yamaha JGRMX.
Dopo una carriera amatoriale illustre, Justin Barcia ha cominciato la sua carriera professionale con il botto, vincendo il Rookie AMA of the Year nel 2009 il successo iniziale con due 250SX East Coast Championships. Quello stesso successo seguì Barcia quando si trasferì fino alla Classe 450, dove ha vinto due gare di Supercross 450SX nella sua prima stagione e ha portato a casa l’ AMA 450 Classe Rookie of the Year nel 2013. Già vincitore provato con una intensità che non ha rivali, Barcia è in attesa dell’inizio della stagione 2015.
“Ho incontrato tutti i membri del Joe Gibbs Racing e già mi sento come parte della famiglia, io sono entusiasta di iniziare a guidare e allenarmi per la stagione 2015,” ha dichiarato Justin Barcia, che si sta riprendendo da un intervento chirurgico alla caviglia ad inizio stagione.
Insieme a Barcia il team Toyota / Yamaha / JGRMX ha aggiunto un altro pilota nuovo, Weston Peick. Da lungo tempo pilota Yamaha, Weston ha avuto una stagione di svolta nel 2014 e si attende un ottimo approccio nella stagione 2015, ora che è tornato su una YZ450F.

Yamaha has announced an extension with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGRMX) and the addition of Justin Barcia and Weston Peick. Barcia comes over from Honda Muscle Milk, while Peick signed after spending this summer with RCH Suzuki.

On top of that, Yamaha is proud to welcome two new riders to the Yamaha JGRMX family.
After an illustrious amateur career, Justin Barcia started off his professional career with a bang, winning the AMA Rookie of the Year award in 2009. He followed that early success with two 250SX East Coast Championships. That same success followed Barcia when he moved up to the 450 Class, as he won two 450SX Supercross races in his first season and took home the 2013 AMA 450 Class Rookie of the Year award. Already a proven winner with an intensity that is unrivaled, Barcia is looking forward to the start of the 2015 Season.
“I have met everyone over at Joe Gibbs Racing and already feel like part of the family, I am excited to start riding and training for the 2015 season,” said Justin Barcia, who has been recovering from ankle surgery earlier in the season.
Joining Barcia on the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX team is perennial underdog fan favorite Weston Peick. A long-time Yamaha rider Weston had a breakthrough season in 2014 and looks forward to carrying that momentum into the 2015 season now that he’s back on a YZ450F.
