Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory di Tyla Rattray subisce lesioni al pollice dopo la caduta al GP d’Italia a Maggiora. 

Husqvarna Motorcycles MXGP classe, il pilota Tyla Rattray è stato messo da parte dalla concorrenza fino a sei settimane dopo l’intervento chirurgico di ieri – Lunedi, 16 Giugno – per riparare un legamento del pollice danneggiato al round 10 della serie 2014 MXGP. La caduta nel primo giro della seconda manche a Maggiora, Italia, team Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing Rattray, che ha lavorato duramente per tornare in piena forma a seguito di un infortunio al dito durante la pre-season, è stato costretto al ritiro. Scansioni del Lunedi hanno rivelato il danno al pollice destro, portando ad un intervento chirurgico immediato.

Rattray dovrebbe essere lontano dai campi per 4-6 settimane.

Tyla Rattray: “Sono enormemente deluso da quello che è successo. Come infortunato di nuovo è davvero frustrante per il team Husqvarna e me. Abbiamo lavorato così duramente per tornare a regime dopo il nostro brutto inizio di stagione. Fa schifo per essere buttato indietro di nuovo. Quando sono caduto in gara due sapevo di essermi fatto male al pollice, ma ho continuato e ho pensato di essere ok. Ma dopo aver visitato il mio medico il Lunedi mi ha subito portato in sala operatoria per ricollegare il legamento al mio pollice destro. Ora sto guardando per quattro settimane di recupero prima di poter iniziare a guidare di nuovo. ”

Antti Pyrhonen (Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager): “Purtroppo gli infortuni sono parte del nostro sport, ma penso che abbiamo sofferto abbastanza quest’anno. E ‘stato un anno difficile per Tyla ma sappiamo che può tornare forte e ottenere risultati nei migliori cinque come ha fatto al GP della Gran Bretagna. Al momento la priorità è per lui di recuperare correttamente e poi si spera di iniziare a correre di nuovo tra quattro settimane “.

Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Tyla Rattray suffers thumb injury following fall at MXGP of Italy in Maggiora.

Husqvarna Motorcycles MXGP class rider Tyla Rattray has been sidelined from competition for up to six weeks following surgery yesterday – Monday, June 16th – to repair a damaged thumb ligament sustained at round 10 of the 2014 MXGP series. Crashing on the first lap of the second moto in Maggiora, Italy, Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing team rider Rattray, who has been working hard to return to full fitness following a pre-season finger injury, was forced to retire. Scans on Monday revealed the damage to his right thumb, leading to immediate surgery.

Rattray is expected to be out of action for four to six weeks.

Tyla Rattray: “I’m hugely disappointed with what’s happened. Getting injured again is really frustrating for the team, Husqvarna and myself. We’ve been working so hard to get back up to speed following our bad start to the year. It sucks to be knocked back to square one again. When I crashed in race two I knew I hurt my thumb but I also knocked myself about and thought I would be ok. But after visiting my doctor on Monday I was immediately brought into surgery to reattach the ligament to my right thumb. I’m now looking at a four week recovery before I can start to ride again.”

Antti Pyrhönen (Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing Team Manager): “Unfortunately injuries are apart of our sport but I think we’ve suffered our fair share of them this year. It’s been a tough year for Tyla but we know he can come back strong and achieve top five results like he did at the MXGP of Great Britain. At the moment the priority is for him to recover properly and then hopefully start to ride again in four weeks.”
