24MX Honda è lieta di annunciare l’arrivo di Xavier Boog, l francese disputerà il Campionato MXGP al fianco di Jens Getteman sulla Honda CRF450R . Dopo una transizione nella stagione 2013, la squadra GP , gestita da Steven Lettani agirà ancora come gruppo di supporto ufficiale da Honda nel FIM Motocross World Championship classe regina il prossimo anno .
Nel 2014 Boog sarà alla quinta stagione ai massimi livelli di questo sport, l’elegante 25enne francese si è sviluppato in un contendente veloce e costante . Doppio campione MX1 francese , Xavier ha registrato tre 7° posto della serie dal 2010 al 2012. Ha vinto una manche MX1 nel 2012 e ha rappresentato il suo paese nel MX of Nations due volte.
Sottolineando l’ambizione del team a sviluppare il talentuoso pilota Jens Getteman ( 20 anni ) che inizierà la sua seconda stagione con 24MX Honda CRF450R . Getteman , un ex campione MX2 belga , ha vissuto una stagione di debutto impegnativo in MX1 , segnata con infortuni.
Xavier Boog : “Prima di tutto sono davvero felice di aver trovato una buona squadra . Con 24MX Honda lavorerò di nuovo con Luc Bruggeman, era il mio meccanico nel team Kawasaki ed è una delle chiavi più esperte del settore. In realtà non sono mai stato su una Honda in tutta la mia carriera . Suona un po ‘ pazzo data la loro eccellente reputazione , ma Honda è l’ unica moto con cui non ho gareggiato ancora ! Questo è un altro motivo per cui non vedo l’ora del futuro . In un paio di settimane dovrei ottenere il via libera per iniziare a guidare di nuovo! Questa nuova sfida è grande. ”
Jens Getteman : ” Non vedo l’ora della prossima stagione . Mi sono divertito a lavorare con il team e la moto mi si adatta come un guanto ! E ‘stata dura stare fuori per la maggior parte della stagione GP , ma la mia motivazione è più alta che mai. Per vedere i passi positivi con 24MX Honda avrò un forte compagno di squadra come Xavier, mi dà una spinta così. ”

E ‘stata una stagione molto complicata , soprattutto a causa di infortuni. Ma questa è stata una zona che per fortuna non ci ha colpito così tanto prima . Ma per essere in grado di presentare i nostri partner e fan con un pilota forte per il 2014 e per di più rinnovare il nostro rapporto con la Honda è assolutamente grande! Sono sicuro che Xavier ( Boog ) sarà una forza da non sottovalutare con il CRF . Per quanto riguarda Jens ( Getteman ) siamo tutti d’accordo che merita un’altra chance . Ma la corsa a questo livello è implacabile . La profondità di talento in MXGP sarà incredibile e ora è il momento di Jens per dimostrare cosa può offrire . ”

Boog joins 24MX Honda
24MX Honda is delighted to announce the arrival of Xavier Boog. The fast Frenchman will contest the MXGP Championship alongside Jens Getteman on the Honda CRF450R. After a transitional 2013 season the GP-winning outfit owned and managed by Steven Lettani will act again as Honda’s official support team in the premier FIM Motocross World Championship class next year.
2014 will be Boog ’s fifth season at the highest level of the sport. The stylish 25-year old rider has developed into a fast and consistent contender. A double French MX1 champion, Xavier has recorded three consecutive 7th place series finishes from 2010 till 2012. He won one MX1 moto in 2012 and represented his country in the MX of Nations twice.
Underlining the team’s ambition to develop motocross talent the talented Jens Getteman (20) will start his second second campaign on the capable 24MX Honda CRF450R. Getteman, a former Belgian MX2 champion, experienced a challenging debut season in MX1, marred with injureis. In the opening part of the season Jens showed his skills and promise with strong pre-season results and two LCQ wins in Qatar and Thailand.
Xavier Boog: “First of all I’m really happy to have found a good team. At 24MX Honda I will be working again with Luc Bruggeman as well. He used to be my mechanic at the Kawasaki Factory team and he’s one of the most experienced spanners in the business. Actually I have never been on a Honda before in my career. It sounds a bit crazy given their excellent reputation but Honda is the only bike I have not raced yet! That’s another reason why I’m really looking forward to the future. In a couple of weeks time I should get the green light to start riding again! This new challenge just feels great.”
Jens Getteman: “I am really looking foward to next season. I have enjoyed working with the team and the bike fits me like a glove! It’s been tough to be sidelined for most of the GP season but my motivation is higher than ever. To see the positive steps 24MX Honda is taking now and to have a strong team mate like Xavier gives me a boost as well. That… And having witnessed team Belgium winning the Motocross of Nations. It would be awesome to reach that level myself in a couple of years time!”

It’s been a very complicated season, mainly due to injuries. But this has been an area that luckily hasn’t affected us so much before. However to be able to present our partners and fans a strong rider line-up for 2014 and on top of that to renew our relationship with Honda is absolutely brilliant! I’m sure that Xavier (Boog) will be a force to be reckonded with on the CRF. As far as Jens (Getteman) goes we all agreed that he deserves another chance. But racing at this level is relentless. The depth of talent in MXGP will be incredible and now is the time for Jens to prove that he can deliver.”
